SKIMS is seeking a detail‑oriented and highly analytical Payroll & HRIS Administrator to support our growing corporate and retail teams. Based in our New York office, this role will be responsible for the accurate processing of multi‑state payroll and the ongoing administration and optimization of our HRIS systems.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and data integrity across the employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment and brings both technical precision and a proactive, solutions‑driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
Process bi‑weekly and weekly payroll for corporate and retail employees across multiple states
Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, equity, and deductions
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws
Reconcile payroll reports with Finance and Accounting teams
Manage tax filings, garnishments, and benefit deductions
Serve as primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries
HRIS Management
Serve as system administrator partner for UKG Pro (employee data, job changes, pay changes, reporting, workflows, and security)
Maintain and audit employee data (new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations)
Ensure data accuracy, reporting integrity, and system compliance
Partner with HR, Finance, and IT to support system integrations and enhancements
Generate reports related to headcount, turnover, compensation, and workforce analytics
Support system upgrades, implementations, integrations, and process automation initiatives
Compliance & Governance
Support internal and external audits
Maintain documentation in compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements
Ensure confidentiality and data privacy standards are upheld
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wages and hour laws including state tax and jurisdictional requirements
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
3‑5+ years of payroll and/or HRIS administration experience
Experience processing multi‑state payroll
Strong knowledge of multi‑state payroll compliance, state tax regulations, and jurisdictional setup
Experience partnering with Finance/Accounting on payroll GL, reconciliations and reporting
Experience with HRIS platforms, UKG Pro a must (e.g., Workday, ADP, UKG, SAP, or similar)
Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, reporting)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
Bachelor’s degree preferred
