POSITION SUMMARY
The

Human Resources Manager

serves as a strategic and hands-on partner to leadership, supporting day-to-day operations through the effective execution of HR processes and initiatives. This role is responsible for managing core HR functions, including employee relations, compliance, performance management, compensation support, leave administration, talent development, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness, while ensuring alignment with business goals.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
HR Strategy & Business Partnership

Partner with the VP/GM and leadership team to support company priorities and operational goals through effective HR practices

Identify needs and implement practical HR solutions across talent, performance, engagement, and compliance

Contribute to workforce planning discussions and support local change initiatives

Support and facilitate company succession planning for key roles, including documenting readiness, identifying development actions with leaders, and coordinating periodic review discussions with the VP/GM

Employee Relations & Performance Management

Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees on employee relations matters, including coaching, conflict resolution, investigations, and corrective actions, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws

Lead and administer the performance management process, including goal setting, annual reviews, development planning, and overall process coordination (timelines, communications, documentation, and HRIS workflows)

Partner with and coach managers on performance expectations and feedback delivery, while leading calibration discussions and ensuring alignment and follow-through on development actions

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

Administer FMLA, state leave programs, ADA accommodations, and related documentation

Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook content

Talent, Development & Engagement

Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including exit interviews and trend reporting

Partner with leaders to identify training and development needs and coordinate learning resources

Administer employee recognition programs, service awards, and values‑based initiatives

Support employee engagement activities and company events in coordination with corporate initiatives

HR Operations, Analytics & Systems

Utilize HR systems (e.g., Paycom) to manage employee data, reporting, and workflows

Prepare and analyze HR metrics to inform company planning and highlight trends

Support compensation review cycles, job evaluations, and market benchmarking activities

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university

5–7 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment

Working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel required); experience with Paycom or similar HRIS preferred

Ability to influence and partner effectively with leaders at all levels

Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
