About The Role
This 90‑day Logistics Internship offers hands‑on exposure to U.S. Cotton Export and Freight Operations. You’ll work closely with experienced logistics coordinators to learn the fundamentals of ocean freight, inland transportation, export documentation, and trade compliance. This role is designed for students graduating soon, seeking real‑world experience in global logistics and supply chain operations through structured learning, mentorship, and practical project work.

What You’ll Work On

Assist with preparation and review of export documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, certificates of origin, and commercial invoices.

Support ocean freight bookings, shipment tracking, and carrier communication.

Help coordinate inland freight and drayage, including load scheduling and updates.

Learn the basics of letters of credit and documentary compliance under UCP 600 guidelines.

Enter and maintain shipment data in internal systems; assist with data accuracy and validation.

Coordinate with warehouses, trading teams, and freight vendors to monitor shipment status.

Support freight rate research and benchmarking for FTL and intermodal lanes.

What You’ll Bring

Currently completing a degree in Supply Chain, International Trade, Business, or a related field.

Strong attention to detail and interest in organized, process‑driven work.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm under deadline pressure.

Curious, reliable, and eager to learn in a fast‑paced environment.

Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with systems and data.

Bonus:

Familiarity with logistics concepts, SQL, Power BI, or bilingual English/Spanish skills.
