Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist for a short-term assignment in the San Fernando Valley. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws. This is a temporary role, expected to last up to 4 weeks, offering up to $40 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
Process payroll for all employees, including calculating hours, overtime, and deductions.
Review and verify timecards, attendance records, and payroll data for accuracy.
Prepare and distribute payroll reports and summaries for management review.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
Address payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll information.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in payroll processing and administration.
Strong understanding of payroll laws and compliance requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll software.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Payroll systems experience like ADP or similar system
