Wage Claims Investigator

Job Summary
Under the direction of the Deputy Labor Commissioner Supervisor (Senior Deputy), the applicant will proactively investigate claims to evaluate compliance with labor law. Responsibilities include interviewing workers, holding settlement conferences to resolve disputes prior to adjudication, gathering relevant facts, applying theories of liabilities to assess violations, educating the public on labor laws, and performing a wide variety of enforcement duties for wage and hour laws in the WCA program.
Work Conditions
Tenure: Full-time permanent. The position will be filled in Oakland, located at 1515 Clay Street, Suite 801, Oakland, CA 94612.
