We are seeking a dynamic and experienced permanent Energy, Utility & Regulatory Associate Attorney to join our prestigious legal team. Responsibilities
Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in the energy and utility sectors on a variety of regulatory, litigation, and transactional matters.
Prepare and present cases in regulatory proceedings and litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and briefs.
Conduct extensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
Negotiate and draft contracts and other legal documents related to energy and utility transactions.
Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and changes in law.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals on multi‑disciplinary projects and teams.
Stay abreast of developments in energy, utility, and regulatory law and contribute to thought leadership in these areas.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in energy, utility, and regulatory law, including regulatory proceedings and litigation.
Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and team members.
Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Commitment to maintaining the highest level of professional ethics and integrity.
