
Intellectual Property Legal Project Assistant

Office Locations: Chicago, Madison, Milwaukee, Washington, D.C. We are seeking a Legal Project Assistant in our Chicago, Madison, Milwaukee, or Washington, D.C. office to support the attorneys and paralegals in our Intellectual Property Group to assist with various aspects of the Group's patent prosecution work. This person will also provide support for other projects and matters as required from time to time.

Responsibilities
Assist attorneys and paralegals in electronic document preparation and case filings with the USPTO.
Provide independent management of case and project workload.
Draft, edit, and proofread internal and external communications while meeting required deadlines.
Preparing and filing Information Disclosure Statements (IDS) for attorney and paralegal review.
Communicate with clients and prepare documents, reminders, and updates for same.
Work collaboratively with internal client teams and pair with paralegals to execute on client deliverables.
Qualifications
Intellectual Property patent prosecution experience is preferred.
Client billable hour requirement of 1200 along with a commitment to timely time entry.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong technology skills and experience with Microsoft Office/Outlook/PowerPoint and willingness to learn additional programs.
High level of attention to detail.
Strong ability to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks simultaneously.
Highly motivated and a self-starter.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
Quarles & Brady offers competitive salaries, bonus and great benefits to employees including paid time off, health, vision, dental, 401k, life, disability and much more. Benefit eligibility is dependent on hours. Compensation is determined upon the market in which the position is located, the responsibilities of the position, the experience, education and skills of the applicant, and other job-related factors. The range for this position is $26.50 to $33.00/hour.
