Sr. Realty Technician / Right-of-Way Coordinator (HYBRID)
Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Realty Technician for their Olympia, WA location. This contract Realty Technician / Right-of-Way Coordinator provides professional real estate support for the acquisition, management, and disposition of land rights. The position supports both office and field operations, assisting with rights-of-way usage, encroachment resolution, and the coordination and administration of property-related agreements. Working across a large, regionally structured portfolio, the role partners closely with Realty Specialists and regional leadership to support capital projects and ongoing property management activities.

Location: Olympia, WA.

Key Responsibilities for Sr. Realty Technician / Right-of-Way Coordinator

Review and analyze property rights, ownership records, and title reports to support land use and acquisition activities.

Prepare acquisition packages, land use agreements, and related documentation using established templates and processes; recommend updates as needed.

Coordinate with appraisers, surveyors, and other stakeholders to support acquisition strategies and project execution.

Draft correspondence and ensure accuracy and completeness of legal descriptions and real estate documents.

Support property management cases, including planning, implementation, compliance review, and issue resolution.

Review title policies and agreements; assist in resolving routine exceptions with appropriate approvals.

Serve as a liaison between project teams, contractors, and landowners to support construction and real property projects.

Monitor contractor work, report findings, and provide technical and administrative support to project leadership.

Respond to public and stakeholder inquiries regarding land use and rights-of-way; assist with applications, site visits, and field research.

Conduct data research using internal systems and public records; process applications and fees per established procedures.

Obtain property access permissions and support landowner communications, including issue escalation when needed.

Maintain accurate records, documentation, and filing systems in compliance with information governance and security standards.

Requirements / Qualifications for Sr. Realty Technician / Right-of-Way Coordinator

7+ years of relevant experience in real estate, including principles, practices, and knowledge of real property services, including land management, acquisition, and coordination with survey, mapping, or geospatial functions.

Related coursework or experience in real estate required (details should be documented with course titles, hours, and institutions).

Experience with land data and mapping systems; familiarity with real estate documents (e.g., deeds, titles, liens, mortgages).

Understanding of real estate management and commercial leasing concepts.

Experience acquiring real property rights.

Valid driver’s license.
