Responsibilities
Responsible for the administrative functioning of the Economic Services Program in the Horry County satellite office, and directly supervising all eligibility staff tasked with determining eligibility in the SNAP and TANF programs.
Ensures Economic Services Program unit operates in accordance with all state and federal laws, regulations, policies and guidelines and performs monthly case reviews to ensure compliance with program policy.
Supervises staff responsible for providing services to TANF and SNAP clients.
To timely perform the required number of case reviews monthly for each worker.
Ensures that all client data is correctly entered into the required systems and that all management reports are carefully monitored and utilized to manage the employees.
Represents the agency in meetings with service providers, local business and industry leaders and their appropriate community contacts as required. Participate in statewide trainings.
Performs related duties as required.
Set, effectively communicate, and manage expectations for service delivery, customer service, and accountability.
Direct supervision to include but not limited to conflict management, training new hires, effective communication, regular staff meetings, and employee recognition.
Participates in Red Cross training and shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as directed.
To ensure that personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared, and disposed to protect the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.
Qualifications
A high school diploma and relevant program experience in human services or social services, or a bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to and be able to operate a motor vehicle. Individuals must comply with necessary field work assignments.
