Job Duties / Responsibilities
Radiology Technologist Student

is a part‑time position (24 hours per week) offering full benefits and a flexible schedule.

This individual will perform a variety of imaging procedures in Surgery, Emergency Department, Pain Center, and the Imaging Department, and is responsible for patient safety protocols, knowledge of related policies and procedures, and serves as the first line interface with customers. The candidate participates in CQI activities.

Performs responsibilities consistent with hospital safety policies.

Demonstrates knowledge of positioning patients for exams.

Correctly formulates radiographic exposure factors and uses phototiming.

Has thorough knowledge and skill in administration, side effects, and complications of contrast media.

Recognizes and appropriately handles changes in exams and procedures for the patient.

Qualifications

High school graduate; BS degree preferred.

First 3 semesters completed in an AMA‑approved school of Radiologic Technology.

Registry with the ARRT within 1 year of employment.

Registered with the State of Nevada Radiation Control Program.

Current BLS certification.
