Line Service Technician (LST)
The Line Service Technician (LST) is responsible for providing safe, efficient aircraft ground handling services while delivering exceptional customer service to aircraft owners, guests, and flight crews. This role is hands‑on and operations‑focused, supporting all arriving and departing aircraft with professionalism, urgency, and a positive attitude.

Aircraft Ground Handling & Ramp Operations

Perform aircraft fueling, towing, parking, deicing, placement, and basic cleaning

Operate a wide range of aircraft ground support equipment in accordance with procedures and safety standards

Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all required ground support services for arriving and departing aircraft

Maintain continuous ramp awareness, including aircraft movement, FOD prevention, and changing weather conditions

Perform duties with attention to detail and minimal supervision

Safety & Compliance

Promote safe operations by protecting customers, employees, aircraft, and equipment from harm

Follow all company policies, standard operating procedures, and safety regulations

Use sound judgement when making timely decisions during active operations

Support a safety‑focused culture by maintaining awareness of ramp hazards and operational risks

Customer Service & Experience

Deliver Modern Aviation's exceptional service by assisting passengers and flight crews with professionalism and care

Greet customers with high energy, a positive attitude, and a willingness to exceed expectations

Anticipate customer needs, offer additional services, and represent Modern Aviation in a professional manner

Maintain a positive image with customers, vendors, partners, and airport stakeholders

Communication & Teamwork

Work effectively with other Line Service Technicians, Customer Service staff, and Operations leadership

Communicate clearly during aircraft movements and active operations

Perform additional duties as assigned by Shift Leads or Line Management

Physical Requirements & Schedule

Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time

Physical capability to perform frequent bending, reaching, and manual tasks

Must meet physical demands associated with ramp operations

Able to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must have open availability as work schedules vary, including evenings and weekends

Valid driver's license

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong mathematical aptitude

Previous customer service experience preferred

Basic knowledge of aircraft types and aircraft servicing practices preferred

Working conditions and physical demands for this role: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, including extreme heat and cold; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions and vibration; and chemicals, including aviation fuels, oils, and lavatory fluid. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Modern Aviation's Pay Range
$23.00- $25.00/hr. + benefits.
