Job Requirements / Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Tennessee or compact state (required)
BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
Minimum 1 year recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or step-down nursing experience
Experience with GE monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Meditech documentation preferred
Strong teamwork, positive attitude, clinical judgment, and problem-solving skills
Travel nurse experience and flexibility to float with full-time staff and other travelers preferred
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality progressive care nursing to PCU patients, including post-cath care and advanced pulmonary treatments
Perform medication titration, patient education, and bedside teaching
Use AIDET communication techniques and maintain patient communication boards to improve patient experience
Collaborate with unit techs, secretaries, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure efficient patient care
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Meditech and adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols
Float in rotation with full-time staff and other travel nurses as needed to support unit coverage
