Position Summary
The
Inpatient Social Worker
will be responsible for providing quality case management and psychotherapeutic services to patients and their families.
Responsibilities
Develops and maintains effective working relationships with Admissions, the Business Office, physicians, and nursing staff.
Conducts psychosocial assessments to document history and identify preliminary issues for treatment in a timely manner.
Provides groups and family process-oriented therapies as well as conducts educational groups for patients and family members.
Participates in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and patient safety.
Initial discharge plan formulated and noted on psychosocial within 72 hours of admission.

Qualifications
Education : Masters Degree in a behavioral science or equivalent masters degree in a recognized mental health field.
Experience : Clinical and administrative experience in an inpatient and outpatient mental health setting preferred. Possess general knowledge of all areas of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment.
Age-Specific Competencies : Adults
Licensure/Certification : CPR and CPI certification training provided upon hire.
Other : Ability to relate well with treatment professionals; ability to mobilize and coordinate staff resources; skills in dealing courteously with the public and individuals within the organization and counseling centers; organizational skills; ability to keep information highly confidential; ability to meet deadlines; basic data entry skills preferred; time management skills.
HIPAA : Has access to and adds information to the Medical Record. May only access medical records of assigned patients.
