
Admininstrative Assistant

The Executive Assistant will maintain the CEO's, COO’s, and CFO's calendar, schedule appointments and meetings. She/He will screen incoming telephone calls and follow up with verbal report or written phone memo. She/He will type correspondence, policies and procedures, reports, and projects. She/He will attend, record and distribute minutes of meetings as requested. She/He will open and distribute mail and copy and distribute materials as requested. She/He will assist with studies, reports and projects as requested. She/He will read and act on official information (bulletins, memos, verbal messages).
Telephone Skills – Demonstrates hospital telephone etiquette by answering phones promptly, courteously, and by identifying department and self.
Customer Service – “Go the Extra Mile” Program.
Takes personal responsibility for providing quality services every day.
Displays outstanding customer service skills by greeting all customers warmly; making eye contact; introducing self, calling patients/customers by name; providing assistance needed in a friendly and caring manner.
Looks for opportunities daily to “Go the Extra Mile” in not only meeting customer needs, but exceeding expectations.
Respects and accepts individuals of all protected characteristics and anticipates spiritual and personal needs.
Confidentiality – Sensitive information including, but not limited to, patient records, charts, hospital documents and employee information is kept confidential without exception.
Chain of Command – Communicates and follows the organizational chain of command for notification of patient care/service issues, when appropriate.
Patient Rights – Ensures that the rights of all patients are respected and maintained by allowing for privacy, cultural diversity and dignity in the provision of care.
Must have strong telephone etiquette, be able to maintain the calendar, schedule appointments and meetings.
Should be knowledgeable in Google, Microsoft and other programs. Type correspondence, policies and procedures, schedules, reports and projects.
Attend, record and distribute meeting minutes as requested.
Open and distribute mail. Make and distribute material as requested.
Assist with studies, reports and projects as requested. Read and act on official information (bulletins, memos, verbal messages).
Prepare and distribute Board books.
Maintain facility contracts as per GEM policies and guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.
About the Facility
Greater El Monte Community Hospital is a 110‑bed acute care facility offering a comprehensive range of services, including ICU, MST, ER, OR, and Sub‑Acute units. To better meet the growing needs of our community, we are currently building a new psychiatric unit, expected to be operational in 2026. Our primary focus remains providing high‑quality, safe, and patient‑centered care to all those we serve.
