Nature & Purpose of Position:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Vice President of Special Events and Outreach to lead the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of collaborative events and outreach initiatives. This role is pivotal in fostering strong departmental relationships, enhancing volunteer engagement, and ensuring the overall success and impact of key institutional events.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
Oversee the planning, development, and execution of high-profile events including but not limited to De-stress Fest, Beach Bash, Earth Day, Bearkat Madness, Study Abroad Week, HSI Week, International Student Week, and any future collaborative events requiring cross-departmental communication and coordination. (Advisor is included in ALL collab meetings to hear about the ideas and make ultimate decisions, has final authority over the budget, etc.)
Manage assigned event budgets, timelines, and logistical arrangements, ensuring adherence to regulations and achieving desired outcomes.
Evaluate event success, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices for future events.
Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across various departments to facilitate seamless event coordination and resource allocation.
Serve as a central point of contact for collaborative events, ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals.
Proactively identify opportunities for cross-departmental collaboration to enhance the impact and reach of events.
Implement strategies to recognize and appreciate volunteer contributions, fostering a strong sense of community and commitment.
Maintain a database of volunteers, tracking participation and engagement.
Assist with other CAB activities and projects while assigned to Takover (Fall).
Currently enrolled as a full-time student with a 2.5

Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail
