Senior Construction Inspector

HDR is hiring a Senior Construction Inspector to work as a member of our Florida CEI (Construction Engineering and Inspection) program at a project site in Orlando, FL. The CEI team primarily works independently on FDOT projects, including milling & resurfacing, bridge construction, signalization, earthwork and stripping operations, and final estimate preparation. You will interact daily with FDOT Project Administrators and other FDOT personnel. Preferred Qualifications

Able to work as needed on nights, holidays, and weekends

Technical school or Associate's degree

10 years of roadway/highway inspection experience

ITS experience

Previous FDOT or other comparable agency experience

Relevant industry certifications including CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level 1, CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level 1 and 2, CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level 1 and 2, IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level 1, CTQP Final Estimates Level 1, FDOT Intermediate MOT, Nuclear Radiation Safety, Florida Stormwater, Erosion and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors, Critical Structures Construction Issues, Seld-Study Course - CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)

Ability to interpret construction schedules

Local candidates are preferred

Required Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or equivalent. (Candidates with 8 years of relevant construction inspection experience may substitute experience for a high school diploma)

A minimum of 5 years experience

Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)

Strong written communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
