
Project Engineer - Civil/Structural Forensics

About the Role
Envista Forensics is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer for our forensic team in the Greater Denver, Colorado area. This position offers a hybrid work model—remote when not conducting field investigations, with 30‑40% in‑field time.
Key Responsibilities
Investigate the origin and cause of failures, damages, or defects in civil/structural fields within residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
Analyze building‑system failures, determine causes, evaluate construction quality, and review design or maintenance procedures.
Perform field investigations, lead multi‑party examinations, and document damaged property.
Research failure modes and code requirements, prepare recommendations for repair or remediation.
Prepare reports and letters outlining the origin and cause of damages for clients.
Manage or work with multidisciplinary teams on large, complex assignments.

Qualifications

Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE); EIT considered.

25‑30%+ travel.
Capability to work in inclement weather and varying conditions.
Capability to work in high areas such as roofs or scaffolding (physical agility, balance, tolerance to heights).
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict timelines.
Compensation
The salary range for this position in Colorado is $130,000 to $150,000 annually, with variations based on experience, knowledge, and skills. A quarterly bonus is available based on revenue and productivity, and a sign‑on bonus may be offered. Additional benefits include a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
