Position: Full‑time, Permanent (Office/Site only)

Job Summary
The Training Specialist will partner with department managers to design, develop, and deliver training initiatives that support both employees and support functions. The role requires analyzing training needs, creating effective learning materials, and leading in‑person and virtual training sessions.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

Manage training schedules and documentation, and coordinate training facility activities.

Partner with department managers to deploy training initiatives.

Analyze and assess training and development needs.

Implement training plans and curricula that align with departmental and business objectives.

Design, develop, evaluate, and update training content, materials, manuals, tests, and related aids.

Improve training approaches and resources based on assessment, covering individual mentoring, group sessions, demonstrations, eLearning, workshops, refreshers, in‑person, virtual, and self‑study.

Lead administrative functions necessary to deliver, document, and track training programs, including scheduling, notification, and facility setup.

Prepare and report on training delivery and curriculum effectiveness.

Develop train‑the‑trainer programs where applicable.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

2–4 years of experience in training and development or human resources within a manufacturing environment or educational setting.

Proven understanding and experience with learning management systems.

Experience in crafting e‑learning content.

Ability to build collaborative relationships with all organizational levels.

Strong administrative, organizational, and project‑management skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Proficient digital literacy (Outlook, MS Office, SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

Training experience in a manufacturing environment.

Lean manufacturing experience.

Ability to multitask and handle a high volume of work accurately.

Benefits
Simmons offers a variety of health and wellness benefits. The pay range for this position is $82 K – $110 K annually, subject to budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
