Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Legal Assistant for a dynamic, mission-driven organization focused on complex litigation. This is an onsite position in San Francisco, CA with potential for hybrid work after a trial period.
Position Overview
This Legal Assistant role provides hands‑on support to litigation teams handling complex cases at both state and federal levels. The position focuses on document production, formatting, and filings while contributing to trial preparation and broader litigation processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and enjoys supporting a collaborative legal environment.

Prepare and format complex legal documents, including tables of contents and tables of authorities
Execute electronic and physical filings in state and federal courts
Support trial preparation, including exhibit management, binders, and logistics
Manage document organization and administrative tasks for litigation teams
Ensure accuracy and compliance in all filings and documentation
Collaborate with attorneys and colleagues to support high‑quality case management
Qualifications
Strong document production, formatting, and word processing skills
Experience with litigation support and filing processes
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks
Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast‑paced legal environment
Ability to contribute to trial preparation and high‑level administrative support
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary range of $110k - $140k annually. Employees receive vacation accrual with carryover, sick leave, participation in a 401(k) plan with employer matching, and commuter benefits for transit and parking.
