Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about veterinary medicine and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and client service.
Key Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgical/dental procedures
Monitor anesthesia and support patients before, during, and after surgery
Perform diagnostic testing, including bloodwork, urinalysis, and cytology
Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed
Obtain full body and intraoral radiographs in cats and dogs
Educate clients on preventative pet care and post-treatment instructions
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure a clean, organized workspace
Qualifications & Requirements
Active Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) license in the state of Illinois
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary clinical setting.
Strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures
Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical preparation/assistance
Experience with canine and feline dental procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinical setting
Compassionate, team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic
Proficiency with veterinary software systems is a plus
