Seasonal Lab Assistant
A Seasonal Lab Assistant will perform visual sanitation inspections of winery equipment, collect samples from storage tanks and crush tanks, maintain Lab cleanliness, and conduct basic analyses on samples.

Responsibilities

Perform visual sanitation inspections of winery equipment.

Collect top and bottom samples from wine storage tanks and crush tanks.

Become familiar with all tank and other sampling locations.

Maintain the Lab and related equipment neat and clean.

Collect representative samples safely to avoid contamination or loss of product.

Execute various analyses on samples with laboratory equipment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree OR High School diploma or State‑issued equivalency certificate plus prior GALLO experience OR prior winery or vineyard experience.

Experience working well with others.

Skilled in maintaining accuracy in lab work.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Required to lift and move 40 pounds frequently.

Specific vision requirements: close vision, color vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.

Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Required to work in high, precarious places.

Required to work any shift, including weekends.

Required to work overtime when necessary.

Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

Skilled in writing simple correspondence.

Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.

Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, internal equity, and market data. In addition to the salary, this position may be eligible for bonuses, incentive plans, or participation in tasting room tip pools, as applicable.

This position will be based on the location(s) specified in the job posting and requires working onsite with no telecommuting option. You will be expected to live within a commutable distance.
