Physical Therapist - Outpatient Rehab/Sports Medicine Hartsville
Location: Hartsville
Sign‑on bonus available: $15,000. Relocation assistance: $7,500. Tuition reimbursement: $7,500 per completed year for 7 successful years.
Job Description
Plan and administer physical therapy treatment plans designed to alleviate pain, restore function, prevent disabilities, and promote overall fitness and health of patients.
Complete patient evaluations based on history, observation, subjective and objective measurements, and develop a plan of care most appropriate to the patient’s learning style and therapeutic needs, communicating goals with the patient and family.
Provide therapeutic interventions for a wide variety of physical and functional limitations, documenting progress with measurable and functional goals.
Maintain patient records according to policy, completing evaluations, re‑evaluations, progress and treatment notes, charges, and discharge summaries within departmental time guidelines.
Assist in adjusting schedules to accommodate changes in caseload; supervise operation of specific treatment team; meet with PTAs to discuss patients and set goals.
Contribute to overall departmental performance through professional development strategies, including competency training, clinical instruction, service coordination, mentorship, program leadership, meeting attendance, and performance improvement ideas.
Demonstrate continued professional growth by setting goals, participating in educational offerings, and independently achieving and maintaining CEUs for SC LLR.
Communicate with physicians, other medical personnel, and members of the interdisciplinary medical team regarding treatment, patient progress, complications, and recommendations.
Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff, ensuring an orderly, clean, and safe work area.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule
72-80 hours biweekly, full time, Monday-Friday, flexible.
Education
Active South Carolina license in Physical Therapy.
Current Basic Life Support (CPR/AED) certification.
