Responsibilities
PACU nurses are highly specialized RN's who care for patients who have gone under anesthesia. These nurses observe and treat patients after surgery, monitoring vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, and respiratory rate. They are typically the first to greet the patient after surgery and provide comfort and reassurances to the patient and family.
