Overview
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Correctional Mental Health – Stockton, CA. Pay: $88-$91/hr. Contract: 6-month contract (extensions available). About the Role Care Career is hiring an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide mental health care inside a California state prison in Stockton.
What Your Day Will Look Like
Providing individual and group therapy, crisis support, and suicide risk assessments
Completing mental health evaluations, treatment plans, and clinical documentation
Working alongside a multidisciplinary team during treatment meetings
Meeting with patients face to face, which may include cell-front interactions
Following established institutional procedures around safety, movement, and care delivery
Contract & Work Environment
6-month contract through Care Career; extensions may be available based on facility needs
Shifts are scheduled ahead of time so you know what to expect
Work takes place in a secure correctional facility with clear rules and protocols
Clinicians are expected to stay aware of their surroundings and follow all safety procedures

Ongoing recruiter and compliance support throughout your contract
What We’re Looking For
Active California LCSW license
At least 12 months of recent clinical experience
Ability to complete required background and health clearances
Comfort working in a correctional environment and following structured procedures
Qualifications / Licensing
Licensed Clinical Social Worker - CA (Required)
BLS Certification (AHA) or willing to obtain (Required)
