Commercial Security Systems Technician
Location: Charlotte, NC
Responsibilities
Install, configure, program, and commission commercial intrusion, access control, fire, and CCTV/video systems
Provide advanced technical support for installed security systems, both remotely and onsite
Troubleshoot system issues and ensure optimal performance at customer locations
Deliver end‑user training and ensure smooth system handoff
Collaborate closely with installation teams, project managers, engineers, and other technical specialists
Assist and mentor other technical support team members as needed
Maintain detailed service reports and documentation
Interact professionally with customers and consistently exceed customer satisfaction expectations
Qualifications
3-5+ years of experience installing and servicing commercial electronic security systems
Strong hand‑on experience with CCTV, access control, alarms, and video systems
Familiarity with enterprise‑level access control platforms such as Lenel (OnGuard) is a strong plus
Experience with systems from manufacturers such as Honeywell or similar vendors
Solid understanding of low‑voltage systems, cabling, and networked security devices
Excellent customer service, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Preferred Certifications
Lenel or similar access control certifications
Industry technical licenses or manufacturer certifications
Job Type & Location
Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay
Open to: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour.
