Position Summary
The Finance Intern will support the Finance team by assisting with daily reporting, recurring business analysis, and operational finance processes. This role will help streamline day‑to‑day responsibilities while providing valuable insight into how finance supports business performance across a multi‑brand organization.
This internship is ideal for students who are analytical, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in gaining real‑world corporate finance experience in a fast‑paced business environment.
Key Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities (All Interns)
Support department initiatives through research, documentation, and project coordination
Assist with cross‑functional collaboration across the 1-800-Flowers family of brands
Attend team meetings, present findings, and share progress with stakeholders
Participate in internship learning sessions, networking opportunities, and workshops
Contribute ideas to enhance business processes and improve customer experience
Finance Internship Responsibilities
Prepare and distribute daily sales and performance reporting
Assist with business unit reviews and recurring financial summaries
Support analysis of expenses, including marketing and operational spend
Gather, organize, and validate financial data for reporting accuracy
Build and maintain spreadsheets, trackers, and reporting templates
Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects
Help identify process improvements and efficiencies within reporting workflows
Partner with finance leadership on day‑to‑day operational priorities
