Production Control Planner Intern

The Production Control Planner assists in the daily planning and movement of hardware and products through the manufacturing, inspection, test, and shipping areas to meet established delivery schedules. The planner compiles and releases ready manufacturing documents such as work orders, operation sheets, and design documentation to the production floor and ensures fulfillment of Spares and Valve Orders through coordination of material orders and requisitions.

Location:

East Farmingdale, NY.

Hourly pay:

$18-20 an hour. Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in New York. Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.

Your Challenge

Maintains control of inventory of materials received and distributed through the manufacturing shop.

Issues materials from inventory to jobs.

Ensures material delivery to and from shipping and receiving.

Reads and understands applicable documentation, ensuring requirements are satisfied.

Generates and maintains outstanding material logs.

Initiates requisitions for procurement of materials, detail parts, and services, including coordination of shipments to vendors.

Creates and updates work orders, including preparation of shop packages, material pick lists, material verification and serial number assignment.

Implements changes to shop floor documentation in a timely manner.

Identifies product shortages and other bottlenecks that may adversely affect production flow.

Completes additional responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.

What You Bring

Working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word.

Good interpersonal skills.

Good verbal and written communication skills.
