Job Overview
As Laminator Assistant, you will be responsible for setting up and preparing the materials specified on the work order to be produced on the machine. You will work hand in hand with the Operator in the production process.
Job Responsibilities
Support Laminator Operator in setting up and producing in the lamination department.
Transport laminated, raw material, and printed material throughout the warehouse using forklift.
Break down raw material or film from skids to be loaded onto the machine.
Use mechanical lift to load/unload printed and laminated rolls on and off machine and adjust shaft for recommended core size.
Installation of adhesive and antifog at desired stations.
Install specific sleeves for glue and antifog according to work order.
Use job‑specific tools.
Manipulate controls and use of dial indicators on machine.
Prepare materials that coincide with the production schedule and work order.
Keep track of raw materials at plant for production to avoid machine stoppage.
Record all raw material waste and recycling.
Label finished materials accurately and return to stock.
Maintain cleanliness in work area during shift and shift transitions.
Participate in scheduled cleaning and preventive maintenance on machine.
Follow all Amcor’s safety and production policies.
Help establish standard operating procedures to improve department efficiency.
Enter measurements and quality check specifications in production workbook.
Collaborate with other departments to provide detailed information for the lamination process.
Ensure safety is the top priority.
Complete other duties as assigned by Shift Supervisor.
Job Dimensions & Physical Demands
Laminate printed material for a flexible packaging facility specializing in produce packaging.
Handle adhesives and other food‑grade chemicals that require PPE.
Transport raw and finished materials using forklift.
Work around moving parts, nip rollers, and ovens.
Basic computer skills for data entry.
Flex hours to support multi‑shift operation.
Occasional lifting of cores and shafts.
Physical strain such as walking, standing for long periods, climbing ladders, crouching, and reaching.

Compensation
The starting rate of pay for this position is $18.00 an hour; starting pay may vary based on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
