Schedule
Full-time 2nd shift, Monday through Friday from 2 PM to 10 PM, with frequent overtime opportunities based on production needs.
Day-to-day Responsibilities
Daily tasks include:
Pre-operational inspections to confirm production line readiness
Monitoring product quality and conducting tests on seasonings, batters, breading, and marinades
Randomly pulling products off the line to check weight, length, and thickness against customer specifications
Performing hourly metal detection checks, box weight tracking, and organoleptic testing (cooking and tasting products)
Managing critical documentation and ensuring compliance with USDA and SSOP requirements
Training backup QC Technicians for seamless operations
Enforcing GMP practices across the plant
Participating in weekly QA meetings to stay ahead of industry developments
Qualifications
Proficiency with computers
Adherence to quality and safety guidelines
Physical ability to stand, walk, kneel, and lift up to 25 lbs in a cold, loud, and fast-moving production environment
Basic math skills, including use of a calculator to determine percentages and averages
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organization and time management skills
Team player
Experience in the food industry is preferred but not required.
