The Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) has an exciting opportunity for a
Manager, Contracts
within the Medium Range Air Defense (MRAD) program area. This candidate will play an integral role as a member of the program team, focusing on Contract proposals, negotiation, execution and closeout. This role will support the Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) portfolio within MRAD for the production, integration, technical assistance, and sustainment of the NASAMS system.
Responsibilities
Be the Contracts lead for the development of proposals, negotiations, contractual agreements, contract execution, day-to-day administration
Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives and comply with company policies
Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure work is performed to the overall contract scope
Develop and enhance positive customer relationships for working contractual matters to resolution
Effectively communicate with senior leadership regarding matters of strategic importance to the organization
Leverage relationships with Program Managers, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and other functions to drive closure on complex contractual issues and achieve business results
Some domestic and international travel will be required to meet with the customer (approximately 2-4 times per year)
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
Experience with one or more of the following: Contracts Management, Program/Project Management, Estimating and Pricing (E&P), Procurement/Acquisitions, Supply Chain Management (SCM) or Finance
Qualifications We Prefer
Demonstrated ability to develop effective and sustaining relationships with external customers and internal cross functional partners
Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
Ability to understand the financial aspects of contracts and risk quantification
Experience working in a fast-paced environment, where prioritization is required to be effective
Experience in the development of proposals and negotiations

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
