Job Summary

Plan, lay‑out, install, test and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, motors, equipment and control systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities

Use appropriate hand and power tools to properly measure, cut, assemble and install electrical conduits; weld supports; install cable and duct banks; make terminations in accordance with required color codes and specifications; pull wire through conduit; connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment; install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit‑breaker panels; install grounding leads; splice wire by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twisting or soldering wire together and applying tape or terminal caps; work with high and low voltage systems; test and start up systems; test continuity of circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments such as ohmmeter, battery and buzzer, and oscilloscope; and install all other related items in accordance with the applicable plans and specifications. Participate in all safety related processes and programs as requested.
Engage with the crew to ensure zero injuries.
Understand that no job is so important that safety is compromised.
Watch for hazards and report concerns to supervisor or safety professional.
Use stop‑work authority when needed; report all accidents and near misses; participate in investigation process; participate in all pre‑job planning and safety discussions.
Identify safety hazards and take corrective action; respond appropriately to all safety hazard alerts.
Attend site‑specific training and follow all procedures outlined.
Complete numerical calculations accurately; listen to safety concerns and provide feedback; coordinate work with other crafts; provide on‑the‑job training and mentoring to helpers.
Produce quality work meeting requirements of plans, specifications and industry standards.
Visualize two‑dimensional drawings in three dimensions and develop complete understanding of contract plans and specifications.
Plan, lay‑out, diagram, and install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus and control equipment in accordance with plans and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications

NCCER Electrical; NCCER Electrical and Instrumentation Technician; NCCER Pipeline Electrical and Instrumentation Technician; State Electrical License.
Minimum Qualifications

At least 4 years of experience working as an industrial electrician or a combination of experience and training. Must have a strong working knowledge of the craft and the National Electrical Code (NEC). Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have all necessary licenses or certifications for the jurisdiction in which the work is performed. Must possess all necessary tools. Must complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements including background check, drug screen, and vehicle records search.
Certifications

NCCER Electrical; NCCER Electrical and Instrumentation Technician; NCCER Pipeline Electrical and Instrumentation Technician; State Electrical License.
Physical Demands

Lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds.
Stand, kneel, bend, stoop, move in and around confined and cluttered spaces, and uneven areas.
Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with job duties.
Use hands to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls according to procedure.
Perform repetitive movements.
Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds.
Work up to a 12‑hour shift in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions.
Work Environment

Typical construction site environment.
Work in cramped spaces and awkward positions.
Work in very hot (above 90 F) or very cold (below 32 F) temperatures and exposure to inclement weather such as dust, wind, snow, rain.
Work in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions.
Exposure to noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.
Work around hazardous equipment.
