CNC Machinist III (Second Shift)

Job Overview
Position: CNC Machinist – Pall Aerospace Machine Shop.
Location: New Port Richey, FL.
Work Schedule: 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, overtime frequent.
Requirements: U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization. Access to export‑controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including an export license if required.
Responsibilities
Perform complex set‑up and operation of multi‑axis CNC mills and/or lathes, including tool selection, fixture setup, and process selection.
Read and interpret all types of engineering drawings for castings, forgings, and detailed sketches; conduct first‑piece and in‑process inspections with precision measuring tools (gauges, automated CMMs) to ensure parts meet specifications.
Execute secondary operations such as drill press, stamping press, deburring, and other simple machine processes.
Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or completion of a trade school or apprenticeship program; alternatively, ten (10) years of CNC set‑up experience.
Solid understanding of shop math, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and GD&T.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience running up to 9‑axis machining.
Ability to interpret tools and part drawings with geometrical tolerancing and manually calculated dimensions.
Experience reading and interpreting CNC programs to identify and correct tool wear or program oversights.
