Summary
Responsible for performing a variety of technical activities associated with the performance of screening and diagnostic mammography exams. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes.
Essential Functions
Performs screening and diagnostic mammograms using tomosynthesis and 3D Imaging technology.
Performs a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate.
Position all patients including those with wheelchairs, walkers, or other disabilities during mammographic exam.
Select appropriate technical factors to ensure proper exposure.
Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and obtain additional images as needed.
Explain procedures to patients.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree Related Field of Study preferred.
Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No.
Licenses And Credentials Required
Radiologic Technologist State of NH license
Registered Technologist [R.T. (R)(M) (ARRT)] - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Basic Life Support [BLS Certification]
Experience
2-3 years required in accordance with state, federal, and regulatory agencies' rules and regulations.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Recognize needs and behaviors of a variety of age groups of patients, understand differences in female growth and development, and look for signs of normal aging and physical limitations related to age.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
