EvolveMKD is a leading public relations and digital marketing agency based in Manhattan, specializing in consumer healthcare brands. We seek a Director of Public Relations to lead client accounts and execute strategic initiatives.


Job Overview


The Director will serve as a key client contact, manage account operations, build media relationships, and oversee events. This role requires a self‑starter with strong research, project management, and a passion for elevating client work in a fast‑paced environment.


Location: Manhattan, hybrid schedule – in‑office 3 days a week (Tuesday‑Thursday). Relocation assistance not provided.


Key Responsibilities



  • Serve as a key contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.

  • Lead the execution of strategic PR plans, ensuring alignment with client goals and industry trends.

  • Manage day‑to‑day account operations, including timelines, budgets, deliverables, and vendor coordination.

  • Execute media strategies and secure client features across broadcast, print, and digital.

  • Oversee the planning and execution of PR and influencer events such as treatment days, press trips, product launches, and more.

  • Manage and mentor mid‑level and junior staff, conduct bi‑annual reviews, and provide constructive feedback.

  • Communicate with senior staff, manage up to the VP and CEO, and identify areas for team improvement.

  • Develop KPI measurement strategies and deliver on them.

  • Assist in new business proposal development.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, English, marketing, or related field (preferred but not required).

  • 8+ years of agency PR experience; consumer healthcare experience preferred.

  • 3+ years of management experience, including staffing and crisis management.

  • Strong client‑account management skills, budget discipline, and ability to synthesize information into strategy.

  • Excellent time‑management, written and verbal communication, and presentation skills.

  • Proven track record of generating measurable results.

  • Highly organized, responsive, punctual, and proactive.

  • Hands‑on mentality and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, Zoom, Slack.


Annual Base Salary Range


$125,000 – $150,000, based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
