We are seeking a Senior UX Designer with deep experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical marketing to lead digital experience design within a highly regulated environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives within compliance frameworks, understands MLR review dynamics, and views regulatory guardrails as an opportunity to drive clarity, innovation, and trust in the user experience.

You will partner closely with strategy, technology, analytics, and brand teams to design solutions that serve patients, caregivers, HCPs, and payer audiences while meeting business, legal, and regulatory requirements.

A Day in the Life

Experience Design Leadership

  • Lead UX workstreams across medium to large engagements with minimal oversight

  • Translate complex healthcare and brand strategies into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups

  • Design experiences across patient support programs, HCP tools, payer resources, branded and unbranded initiatives

  • Create UX artifacts including user journeys, sitemaps, personas, process flows, user stories, and functional specifications

  • Facilitate workshops and concept sessions that align cross functional stakeholders around a clear product vision

  • Confidently present and defend design decisions to internal teams and clients, including in regulated review settings

Designing in a Regulated Environment

  • Apply strong understanding of FDA guidance, MLR processes, and pharmaceutical promotional considerations

  • Proactively design with fair balance, risk information, accessibility, and claims hierarchy in mind

  • Collaborate closely with legal, regulatory, and medical stakeholders to anticipate constraints early

  • Translate regulatory feedback into thoughtful UX solutions without compromising usability

  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for working within structured frameworks and building scalable patterns that streamline future approvals

Research and Data Driven Design

  • Use qualitative and quantitative research, analytics, and competitive audits to inform design direction

  • Plan and support usability testing within regulatory parameters

  • Conduct site and application audits to uncover usability, accessibility, and performance gaps

  • Synthesize insights into actionable design recommendations grounded in user behavior and business goals

Systems and Consistency

  • Contribute to and evolve design systems that support compliant, scalable healthcare experiences

  • Drive consistency across channels including web, mobile, email, portals, and CRM driven experiences

  • Promote accessibility standards including WCAG 2.1 and inclusive design principles

  • Establish reusable patterns that reduce review friction and improve delivery efficiency

Collaboration and Process

  • Partner with strategy, content, analytics, and development to align on scope and execution

  • Work effectively within Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid delivery models

  • Collaborate with technical teams to design within CMS platforms such as AEM or Drupal

  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve workflow between strategy, UX, and development

What You Will Need

  • 3-5 plus years of UX experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating healthcare or pharmaceutical work

  • Direct experience working in regulated healthcare environments, ideally within agency or life sciences settings

  • Proven ability to lead UX across discovery, definition, development, and deployment phases

  • Experience designing for HCP, patient, caregiver, or payer audiences

  • Strong understanding of responsive design and modern web and mobile standards

  • Experience working within CMS and component based design systems

  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with Sketch, JIRA, or Workfront is a plus

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards including WCAG 2.1

  • Strong communication skills and comfort presenting to senior stakeholders

  • Open to feedback and able to iterate quickly within structured review cycles
