We are a general dental practice located in Johns Creek, GA. We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic hygienist with a positive attitude. Must have excellent clinical skills, so that we can educate patients on oral hygiene, and communicate needed treatment.
Job Description:
Gathering patient information and health background
Pulling up patient dental and relevant medical history to refer to during examination
Preparing patients for dentist
Providing patient care and support
Educating patients on good oral hygiene habits
Taking X-Rays and following all safety procedures as required
Examining mouth for gingivitis, periodontitis, or other oral diseases
Cleaning patient teeth to remove plaque, polishing teeth, and flossing Preparing the work area for procedures
Sterilizing dental instruments and equipment
Updating patient records and examination notes in patient management software
Requirements and Qualifications:
Hygiene Degree from accredited school
Current Georgia license required
1+ years' experience as a Dental Hygienist
Excellent verbal communication skills
Basic understanding and knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules
Current CPR certification required
Accurate and precise attention to detail
Excellent understanding of dental hygiene procedures
Compassionate and caring of patients
Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be a team player
Job Type: Part-Time 16 or 24 hours weekly
