About the Role

We’re looking for a new Sr. Structural Engineer for our Infrastructure/Civil Sector to help drive the objectives and challenges our valued clients have trusted us to solve for them.
Responsibilities

Technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating projects, including the investigation, development, and approaches for the project.
Plan and design transportation systems and structures, following construction, client, federal, state, and local standards and laws, using design software and drawing tools.
Responsible for discipline work quality and methodology and coordination with the other sectors for multi-disciplinary projects.
Building a positive image for SYSTRA by developing and managing good client relations for both existing and new clients in

the public transportation and the transit rail industry.
Responsible for chargeability/realization goals for the personnel assigned to him/her as defined on an annual basis.
Manage, direct, and mentor the small but growing structural staff.
Participate in developing proposals, including technical design and cost estimates and participate in client presentations to secure new work.
Stay current with professional licensing.
Qualifications

BS in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Minimum of ten years’ relevant discipline experience.
Required Skills

Proficient Project Management experience and skills.
Leadership and communications skills to supervise and mentor subordinates.
Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
Experience in Project Management, design, inspection, and construction of major facilities and/or rail transportation projects (but not bridges and tunnels).
Experience and ability to make decisions and recommendations that are considered authoritative on issues that have an extensive impact.
Negotiate critical issues that have an extensive impact.
Make independent judgments on engineering problems and methods.
Manage projects, completing them on time and within budget.
Proficiency in the following software programs: MS Excel, Word, and Outlook; AutoCAD; a Project Management software such as MS Project, Primavera, or SureTrak; set up and run database reports in software programs used by the Company; and ability to quickly learn software programs.
Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally to all SYSTRA office locations, including project offices, if applicable.
Pay range and compensation package

SYSTRA USA provides a benefits package including medical, dental, 401k and Unlimited PTO that focuses on providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.
Salary range $175,000-195,000/year
