HVAC Service Technician
Pay:
$23–$35 per hour + commission and bonus opportunities
Position Overview The HVAC Service Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality service by diagnosing issues efficiently, completing repairs accurately, and performing preventative maintenance to maximize system performance.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical expertise, professionalism, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. This role also involves collaboration with team members to resolve complex issues and uphold the company’s standards for service excellence, safety, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, service, and repair residential and/or commercial HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and system performance checks
Respond promptly and professionally to service calls and customer concerns
Communicate clearly with customers regarding system conditions, repairs, and maintenance recommendations
Collaborate with fellow technicians and team members to troubleshoot complex issues
Maintain accurate documentation of service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities
Follow all safety procedures and industry regulations
Minimum Qualifications
Valid HVAC Technician certification or license
Minimum of
5 years of hands-on HVAC experience
EPA certification for refrigerant handling
Experience servicing, repairing, and installing HVAC systems
Valid driver’s license with a clean 3-year driving record
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
Skills & Competencies
Advanced technical knowledge of HVAC systems and components
Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship

Sign-On Bonus for Technicians & Senior Technicians:
$5,000 Payment Structure The sign-on bonus will be paid in the following installments, subject to applicable taxes and processed through payroll:
$1,500
after
90 days
of continuous employment
$1,500
after
6 months
of continuous employment
$2,000
after
12 months
of continuous employment
Retention Requirement & Repayment Obligation This sign-on bonus is contingent upon the employee remaining actively employed for a minimum of
two (2) years

If the employee voluntarily resigns or is terminated for cause before completing 24 months of employment, repayment of a prorated portion of the sign-on bonus is required as follows:
Separation before
12 months :
100%
of bonus paid must be repaid
Separation between
12–18 months :
50%
of bonus paid must be repaid
Separation between
18–24 months :
25%
of bonus paid must be repaid
After
24 months :
No repayment required
Repayment must be made within 30 days of separation. The employee authorizes the company to deduct any allowable amounts from final pay, in accordance with state law.
