Right Path Law Group is a fast-growing criminal defense and personal injury firm headquartered in Northern Virginia with offices in Chantilly and Manassas. We are licensed across five states and serve one of the most diverse client communities in the DMV. We need an experienced litigation attorney who can step in, take ownership of a serious caseload, and deliver results from day one.
This is not a case-review role. You will be in court. You will be trying cases. And you will be backed by a firm that has the infrastructure, the team, and the mission to make that work meaningful.
What We Offer
Salary field entry: $120,000 - $135,000
Total compensation, including performance bonus: $130,000 - $155,000+
Base salary of $120,000 - $135,000, depending on experience and trial record
Quarterly performance bonus based on case value and closings
Referral compensation on cases you originate: 10% on misdemeanor matters, 15% on felony matters

Three weeks paid time off plus firm holidays
A real path to senior associate and leadership roles as the firm scales
$135,000 Base Qualifies You If:
9 or more years of criminal litigation experience with a demonstrated felony trial record
7 or more first-chair jury trials taken to verdict
Bilingual in Spanish and English fluency
Verifiable track record of case results. We will ask.

Compensation:
$120,000 - $135,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
Manage a high-volume criminal defense caseload across General District Court, Circuit Court, and Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court in Northern Virginia jurisdictions
Represent clients charged with felonies and misdemeanors from arraignment through trial or resolution
Develop case strategy, draft and argue motions, negotiate dispositions, and try cases to verdict when necessary
Appear at status hearings, bond hearings, preliminary hearings, motions hearings, and trials across our Northern Virginia court footprint
Communicate proactively with clients throughout the life of their case, in English and Spanish where applicable
Collaborate with the criminal defense team on case strategy, workload distribution, and client outcomes
Document case activity accurately in the firm's case management system and submit quarterly case data for performance review
Qualifications:
Required:
Active Virginia bar license in good standing
Minimum 3 years of criminal litigation experience, including felony matters and jury trials
Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume, deadline-driven caseload independently
Trial experience in the General District Court and Circuit Court
Public defenders and former prosecutors are strongly encouraged to apply
Strongly preferred:
Familiarity with Northern Virginia courts, including Fairfax County, Prince William County, Arlington, Alexandria, and Loudoun
Experience with serious felony matters, including violent offenses, sex offenses, and drug trafficking
Existing referral network or community relationships in the Latino and Spanish-speaking DMV community
