Dental Hygienist

Job Summary Privately owned dental practice is looking for a dental hygienist to work part time with an amazing doctor and staff! In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care through comprehensive dental hygiene services. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health, educate patients on proper dental practices, and support the overall success of our dental practice. Duties include and are not limited to: Thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Patient assessment by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options. Taking medical imaging, including X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols. Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and progress notes. Follow infection control protocols diligently to ensure aseptic technique and prevent cross-contamination. Skills Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and medical coding. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately and professionally. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently during general dentistry procedures. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Effective communication skills to educate patients clearly about their oral health status and treatment plans.
