Patient Revenue Cycle Senior Coordinator

The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is seeking a Patient Revenue Cycle Senior Coordinator for the Clinic Administration Predoctoral Clinic. The Predoctoral Clinics are an important part of the health care delivery system ensuring optimal health care experience for our dental patients and students. The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is the fourth largest public dental school in the United States and it is the only public dental school in Ohio. The college is divided into ten divisions with all major ADA-recognized dental specialties represented. The College has approximately 600 students in its undergraduate and graduate programs. The Predoctoral Clinic Receptionist functions as an integral member of a team of care providers in the College of Dentistry. Overall responsibilities include serving as one of the receptionists in the eight predoctoral clinics performing patient scheduling, taking incoming patient calls, patient check-in, tracking dental and hygiene students schedules, assisting with backup coverage as needed, verifying forms for accuracy and completeness, coordinating with and disseminating information to the patient care team; this position assists with providing coverage for student licensing exams, board screenings and participates in a team rotation to cover bi-weekly predoctoral evening clinic each semester. This position may include weekends and evening work. This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 pm
Salary Range: $18.37 - $23.99 per hour based on experience.
Physical Requirements: Candidate must be able to bend / stretch / twist to pick up supplies, retrieve records or maintain office appearance; involves sitting for longer periods of time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
Minimum Education Required: High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be required. 2 years of relevant experience required.
Desired Qualifications: Scheduling patient appointments accurately in a medical or dental setting. Working knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) software. Very detailed oriented. Developed organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A high level of proficiency using Microsoft Office in a business environment. Ability to complete appropriate correspondence to maintain patient communication. Self-motivated individual capable of making informed decisions independently. Open to develop and create on-going process improvements. Working as a team member and has high level of emotional intelligence. Able to develop positive working relationships with a diverse population; creates and analyzes patient data with a high level of accuracy. 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred. Associate degree in relevant field may be preferred.
