
Material Handler I - Second Shift

Material Handler I
The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient and accurate movement, storage, and tracking of materials within the warehouse and production environment. This role ensures that materials are properly received, stocked, and delivered to appropriate locations to support production and shipping schedules. The Material Handler operates various material handling equipment, follows safety protocols, and maintains inventory accuracy through record-keeping and inventory checks. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to workplace safety are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Prioritizes safety in all aspects of the job.
Unload, measure, tag and put away freight.
Process outgoing UPS and FEDEX shipments.
Pick Sunrise for shipment.
Maintain inventory records and report discrepancies.
Feed and remove products from the production lines and store in proper areas.
Cycle counting.
Liaisons with the warehouse supervisor to ensure that all safety steps are being taken on the job.
Loading trucks with materials.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
A minimum of a High School degree with 1+ years of manufacturing/material handling experience preferred.
2 years of Material Handling Experience
A positive, thorough communicator.
Some experience with quality systems preferred.
Experience with an ERP system preferred.
Strong attention to detail.
A valid Driver License.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to write out BOLs and other material control paperwork and reports. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Fluency in English, both written and oral is required.
