Provides clinical office support including answering telephone calls, entering demographic and insurance/referral information, and scheduling appointments.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Answers telephone calls and handles patient questions or routes to appropriate personnel.
Schedules, reschedules, cancels and confirms patient appointments.
Registers new patients in the system and obtains demographic and insurance information.
Assists with obtaining referrals/pre-certifications as needed.
Provides packets of information to patients associated with services which may accompany the appointment.
Assists other clinical support staff during peak time, vacation/illnesses.
Working Conditions:
Job Location/Working Conditions: Normal office environment.
Physical Effort: Typically sitting at a desk or table.
Equipment: Office equipment.

Required Qualifications

Driver's License: A driver's license is not required for this position.

Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date.
Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).

Salary Range
$16.23 - $21.88 / Hourly. The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
