5 Axis CNC Programmer
Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for complex aerospace components using 5-axis machining in Mastercam. Create and refine advanced multi-axis tool paths for intricate geometries and hard-to-machine materials commonly used in aerospace. Program and support CNC lathes with live tooling for mill-turn aerospace applications. Assist in set up, prove out, and validate programs on Makino machining centers and CNC lathes. Perform simulation and verification using Vericut to ensure collision-free, efficient, and compliant machining processes. Interpret aerospace technical drawings, CAD models, and GD&T with a high level of accuracy. Select tooling, cutting strategies, and machining parameters optimized for aerospace materials and tolerances. Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to meet strict aerospace quality and repeatability standards. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet customer and regulatory requirements. Maintain thorough program documentation, setup sheets, and revision control in accordance with aerospace standards. Drive continuous improvement in cycle times, tool life, and process reliability. Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and aerospace industry standards.
