Equipment Operator
will work a maximum of 40 hours per week maintaining our dump yard. This person must be experienced in operating dozer's, excavator, and backhoe.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Operate equipment such as Dozer's, Excavator & Backhoes and other machinery as assigned.
Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
Load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently
Assist with site preparation and yard cleanups.
Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding job progress and safety issues
Report equipment malfunctions, hazards, or unsafe conditions immediately
Success Factors:
Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, often under adverse climatic conditions.
Ability to understand and follow specific oral and written instruction
Ability to work well independently and as a part of a team with co-worker
Ability to pass motor vehicle, criminal background check, and comply with drug-free workplace policy
English usage sufficient to keep records, place orders, and prepare simple narrative reports
Skills in operating heavy equipment and machines proficiently and safely
Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
Experience and Education:
1+ years of experience operating dozers, excavator and backhoes
Standard Driver License Required
Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions
