Job Description
Performs entry level office and clerical work to include, but not limited to, receiving and transferring calls, record keeping, data entry, and taking and delivering messages via telephone and computer with minimal supervision.
Position Duties
The tasks below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional related tasks as necessary.
Answers all incoming telephone calls
Responds to telephone calls from citizens with concerns and questions regarding animal services, and provides the information or guidance to the citizen.
Collect cash and/or credit card payments for various fees or donations, via telephone, mail, or in person.
Enters monthly data statistics, animal owner information, and information related to the sales of animal registrations into the computer system.
Assists the Bite Investigator with bite and quarantine entries into the database, which often includes reaching out to citizens and confirming/clearing the quarantine process
Performs all related work as required...
Regular, dependable and punctual attendance is an essential function and requirement of this position.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of clerical experience. Knowledge of local geography is preferred.
Additional Information
Work is performed in an office environment. Work is conducted Mon. through Fri. 8am
5pm; or 9am - 6pm, This position requires availability to work some holidays. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area the employee will be expected to work. Successful completion of a criminal background investigation including polygraph, reference/employment
eighborhood checks. submit to screening for illegal drug use prior to assuming position and will be subject to return to duty, post-accident and/or random and reasonable suspicion drug tests while employed with BCSO.
