Patient Access Representative Opportunity

West Oaks Hospital has provided psychiatric care to the Houston area and surrounding communities for over three decades. Our 176-bed acute care facility is fully accredited and includes a 16-bed residential treatment center for adult chemical dependency. We offer a broad range of behavioral health programs for children, adolescents, and adults. Treatment is offered at multiple levels of care including inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient. We are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assist you and answer your questions about treatment options and insurance coverage. The hospital is easily accessible off the Southwest Freeway near the Galleria.
West Oaks Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Patient Access Representative full-time to work the 7p-7a shifts rotating weekends to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals. The Patient Access Representative will be responsible for assisting in the process of receiving, scheduling, and/or referring inquiry calls; assists the Counselors, Coordinators, and Director with coordinating assessments, initiating Intake paperwork, and insurance information; working with Admissions Clerk/Receptionist to ensure smooth transition into the admission process. Job duties include coordinating and processing patient assessment, handling inquiry calls immediately, assuring that all required information is placed on the intake form, facilitating referrals to outpatient services, maintaining communication with AHP, physician's offices, and referral sources, and other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications requirements include education: high school diploma or GED, licensure and certification: CPR and hospital de-escalation certifications, and experience: two years of related experience. Preferred: two years of related experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility.
