An established firm based in New York City, NY with over 50 years in practice is seeking a Senior Attorney/Of Counsel with 10+ years of experience to join their team!

This role covers both transactional and litigation bankruptcy matters, with a focus on Chapter 11 reorganizations, out-of-court restructurings, creditor-debtor disputes, fraudulent transfer litigation, and distressed asset transactions, representing a diverse range of clients across federal and state courts in New York. Qualifications:Active membership in the New York State Bar is required8+ years of experience in bankruptcy law, with substantive exposure to both transactional and litigation mattersDemonstrated experience handling Chapter 11 reorganizations, out-of-court workouts, and creditor-debtor mattersFamiliarity with practice in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New YorkStrong written and oral advocacy skills with the ability to manage complex matters independentlyJ.D. from an accredited law school is required

Responsibilities:Handle a broad range of transactional and litigation bankruptcy matters including Chapter 11 reorganizations, business restructurings, and out-of-court workoutsRepresent creditors, debtors, equity holders, and third parties in bankruptcy proceedings before federal and state courtsDraft and negotiate pleadings, motions, and transactional documents related to distressed asset sales, DIP financing, and creditor-debtor rightsConduct and defend Rule 2004 examinations and manage preferential and fraudulent transfer litigationAdvise clients on asset protection strategies, foreclosure proceedings, liquidations, and distressed investing opportunitiesCollaborate across practice groups including corporate, real estate, and commercial litigation to deliver integrated client solutions - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
