Forklift Operator
Operate forklifts of various capacities to move cargo throughout the terminal, warehouse, and dock areas
Load and unload cargo from vessels, trucks, and containers in accordance with stevedoring plans
Transport materials to and from designated staging, storage, and laydown areas
Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections and report any defects or maintenance needs
Safely handle a variety of cargo types, including breakbulk, palletized freight, and project cargo
Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and port authority requirements
Maintain awareness of surroundings, including personnel, equipment, and vessel operations
Communicate effectively with supervisors, signalmen, and other operators during cargo operations
Assist with cargo securing, lashing, and general labor duties as needed
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum 1 years of forklift operating experience (marine terminal or heavy industrial environment preferred)
Experience handling large, irregular, or high-value cargo is a plus
