JOB LOCATION :

PCC - CANCER CENTER ADMINISTRATION
SCHEDULE:
Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift,
POSITION SUMMARY
The registration clerk greets patients who come into the Cancer Center for their appointments and/or treatment. The person is this position will exhibit excellent public relations skills and present a positive first impression to the public. Must be able to handle routine patient inquiries and problems. Must demonstrate the ability to work as an effective team member. The registration clerk checks the patient into Mosaiq, queuing the patient to the appropriate area, most often this is to Registration. This position also answers incoming calls from patients, physician offices, etc. and routes them to the appropriate person if the receptionist is not able to help them. The registration clerk also routes walk-in patients appropriate to their needs. Any verbal and written information that is entered into Mosaiq or HIS as needed, must be entered in a timely and accurate manner.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
High school graduate/GED preferred.
Prefer previous reception / clerical experience of at least one year, preferably in a medical office.
Demonstrates good interpersonal communication skills.
Must be able to organize work load in an efficient manner.
Accurate spelling and typing are required.
Microsoft Word experience required.
WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION
Modern well-lighted, air conditioned work area. Moderate noise level. Occasional overtime is required. Ability to sit, stand or walk for moderate periods. Safe and efficient operation of copier, fax, printers, computer, telephone and credit card machine. Must have ability to listen and verbally respond to customers, staff, physicians and visitors. Moderate lifting of 0-25 pounds, reaching, stooping, pushing, pulling, bending and twisting.
